Australian clinicians spend hours each day on clinical documentation — time that could be spent with patients. TeleScribe exists to give that time back.
We provide AI-assisted transcription and note generation that captures the clinical conversation and produces structured draft documentation in seconds. Every output is a draft requiring clinician review — because clinical judgement belongs to clinicians, not algorithms.
Who We Are
TeleScribe is built by Black Health Intelligence Pty Ltd (ABN: 23 693 026 112), an Australian-owned health technology company focused on reducing administrative burden in clinical practice. The business name “telescribe” is registered with ASIC under the Business Names Registration Act 2011.
TeleScribe is clinician-designed and built by a team that understands clinical workflows from the inside. We don't just build software — we test it in real clinical environments every day. That hands-on experience informs every feature, from the multiple note types and patient intake import to the TeleCheck Medicare intelligence and clinical tools built into every session.

The 13 clinical tools built into TeleScribe exist because we got tired of switching tabs. PHQ-9 in one tab, BMI calculator in another, sleep screening somewhere else. Now they're all in the scribe sidebar — score during the consult, one click to add the result to the note. If you use a screening tool we haven't built yet, ask us. We'll add it at no extra cost.
TeleCheck removes the admin burden of checking telehealth eligibility at scale. Nine exemption pathways, each a toggle that generates a timestamped proforma. Postcode lookup against active disaster declarations. MBS item suggestions. All built directly into the scribe workflow so documentation happens as part of the consult, not after it.
Video consults launched as a $19/mo add-on — browser-to-browser, no per-minute charges, AI scribe on the call. Patients join via a link, no account or software needed. The same scribe pipeline that works for in-person and telehealth works for video too.
TeleScribe is purpose-built for Australian clinical practice — our note formats follow Australian SOAP conventions, our compliance features support Medicare and MBS requirements, and our core data is stored in Australia. TeleScribe is only available to health professionals practising in Australia.

TeleScribe uses a two-axis system to tailor every note to your practice.
Axis 1 — Clinician Role: Sets the note structure, clinical terminology, and how you are referenced throughout the document. A Nurse Practitioner gets different language to a Surgeon.
Axis 2 — Specialties: Adds domain-specific data fields, assessment sections, and safety-netting phrases. You can combine multiple specialties.
A Physiotherapist selecting Musculoskeletal gets notes with ROM measurements, strength grading, and functional assessment. A Psychologist selecting CBT gets session structure, cognitive distortion tracking, and homework review fields.

Privacy First
Patient data is never used to train AI models. Audio recordings are processed in-memory only and never stored. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles and the OAIC's Guidance on Privacy and the Use of Commercially Available AI Products (October 2024).
Clinician Empowerment
AI assists, never replaces. Every note TeleScribe generates is a draft — clinicians review, edit, and finalise all documentation. We support clinical judgement, we don't substitute for it.
Australian Standards
Built to meet the requirements of the Privacy Act 1988, the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989, the TGA's Digital Scribes guidance (February 2026), the ACSQHC AI Safety Scenario for Ambient Scribes, and the Standards for General Practices (5th Edition). We continuously review emerging digital health legislation and regulatory guidance to ensure ongoing compliance.
